Meet Cracker Trail Vet
Serving the Moore Haven area, Dr. Jess Landa and Andrea Hall are the dynamic duo behind Cracker Trail Veterinary Services. With 14+ years of experience and an extensive list of trainings and certifications , they are equipped to handle any large animal veterinary situation. CTVS combines traditional western medicine & eastern holistic techniques in our full-service mobile veterinary practice.
From general veterinary care to holistic therapeutic services, our goals are to always get to the root of any issue while providing comprehensive analysis and treatment for each individual animal client.
Dr. Jess Landa graduated with her DVM from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 while also obtaining a broad list of certifications and accreditations to further educate herself for a full spectrum approach to diagnosing and treating cattle and horses. She created Cracker Trail Veterinary Services in 2015 to best serve her veterinary clients.
"I'm here for the horse," says Dr. Jess. "I want to get to the root cause of every problem and take the time needed to fully understand how to best treat every single animal." Dr. Jess also focuses on helping the relationship between horse and rider while treating the equine client.
When working with cattle, Dr. Jess aims to help producers have more efficient and productive herds while needing fewer inputs to achieve more calves hitting the ground.
Andrea Hall is the behind-the-scenes veterinary technician for CTVS and been with Cracker Trail Veterinary Services since the day Dr. Jess opened her practice. Andrea volunteered with Dr. Jess for four years prior to the opening of CTVS to gain large animal experience while working on her vet tech degree. Having grown up in the Cayman Islands, cattle and horses were not her world, but she knew wanted to be part of the large animal industry and has worked to build a life she loves. While Andrea continued her animal science education at Kansas State University, she says she has learned the most from working alongside cowboys.
Currently, Dr. Jess is building onto her veterinary facilities to grow the educational opportunities she can offer clients. Stay tuned for more information about seminars, food, and fun at the CTVS headquarters!
When not burning up the roads, Dr. Jess' favorite place is on the back of a horse, working in her garden, or tooling in her leather shop. She also loves to spend time on the water with her husband and working out.
Andrea spends her spare time working with different cattle ranches in Florida. While Andrea's past professional experiences were in different industries, she knows she is now exactly where she is meant to be .
